Ludwigs As was the cheered main premium winner
of stallions with emphasis on jumping in Vechta.
A highly modern stallion of first class type and
with first class movements, he has an ideal technique
at the jump. His first show season ended with
first places in tests for young jumpers up to
elementary (L) level which, for the best jumper
stallion of the year at the licensing in 2005,
is not surprising. He began his career as the
second Reserve Champion of the Oldenburg licensing
by setting a milestone right away. He then passed
his performance test as the best three year old
and fifth place overall with a score of 127.73
in total, 121.90 (4th place) in dressage and 127.83
(4th place) in jumping.
His first crop produced strong type foals with
a modern look that had powerful hindquarters.
The high quality of his foals combined with his
own outstanding record in sport as well as his
own appearance all added up and Ludwigs As was
awarded a main premium in 2007.
Ludwigs As comes from the Ballkrone dam line
which was strictly bred for performance: Not only
his dam VPr.St. Belle Bijou but also his granddam
St.Pr.St. Bellavista and his three-quarter sister
St.Pr.St. Belle Fee (by Landor S) received a 10.0
in free jumping! The great granddam St.Pr.St.
Iluna (by Inschallah AA) produced several first
class dressage horses such as the licensed stallion,
Royal Star. Her dam St.Pr.St. Ballerina (by Furioso
II) was a full sister of the international advanced
(S) level show jumper Flying and she produced
the Grand Prix jumper Zampano. Through the 5th
generation dam, St.Pr.St. Ballkine by Condor,
the line produced many other internationally successful
dressage horses, show jumpers and event horses
such as the licensed dressage stallion Donnerloh
and the Oldenburg VTV Jumper Stallion of the Year
2005, Armitage.
